Our Psychology Plus scheme offers clinical experience at our on-campus clinic, specialist short courses, professional certificates and work placements to enhance your skills and career prospects. All these opportunities are available at no extra cost – our aim is to add value to your education at USW. You can enhance your skills and knowledge base to gain a competitive advantage in the graduate jobs market or when applying for further study.

 

Graduates that get noticed

Because industry bodies like the British Psychological Society back the majority of our courses, your degree comes with ready-made recognition, taking our students’ names to the top of employers’ lists.

All undergrad Psychology courses are BPS accredited bar the Childhood Development course (plus Childhood Development with foundation year).This means graduates with 2:2 or higher are eligible for the Graduate Basis for Membership – the first step to becoming a fully qualified professional psychologist. 

Our academic staff are involved in research, so you’ll also be taught by staff at the forefront of their specialist fields. Tutors specialise in a range of areas, including developmental disorders across the lifespan, health behaviour and sport psychology. 

Specialist facilities to power up your prospects

USW is home to a range of excellent psychology facilities that are invaluable in helping us to understand human behaviour.  

We have purpose-built psychology laboratories where you can develop your practical psychology skills, eye-tracking equipment, electroencephalography (EEG) machines and BIOPAC systems. There are also interview and observation rooms that you can use to conduct experiments and tests.
