Our locations
Wales is waiting for you
South Wales is a place of inspiring contrasts. It’s city living, welcoming communities, and outdoor adrenaline; it’s about culture and beaches and shopping and castles and music and food; sport-lovers here for epic drama, party people here for good times, and thousands of students already here to build their future. Wherever you study, you’re never more than 20 minutes from somewhere completely different.

Join the family
At USW you’ll make friends for life, try out lots of new things and become more independent than ever before. You’ll live and study in a supportive environment where difference is valued and celebrated, where you’ll be a name, not a number.
Every year, we welcome thousands of students who come together with the shared purpose of learning and building for their future, so you’ll be part of a great community. No matter where your tomorrow takes you, you’ll always be part of the USW Family.
Facilities
Classrooms reimagined
At USW, you can gain the skills you need in environments that recreate the workplace. From equipment to software to professional practice, build your confidence on campus and be ready for the real world. Our on-campus aircraft hangar, hospital ward, scenes of crimes house, recording studios and international-standard sports facilities are just a few examples of our approach. Being hands-on is the head-start you need.
Work experience
I feel so much more confident in my skills and abilities.

Learn from experience
We don’t believe you can learn everything you need from a book. That’s why practical skills, industry partners and work placements are central to our courses. We work with employers across all sectors to link students with placement and graduate opportunities.
At USW you can begin your career before you even graduate, by putting theory into practice and learning from workplace experience. Plus our support continues after you graduate, including personal careers advice, application support and graduate job alerts.
Our accommodation
Home from home
Where you live is just as important as what you study. For most people, going to uni means moving away from home for the first time and it’s an exciting step. You’ll have your own space to live, study and socialise, your way.
Halls are a big part of your student experience and there’s accommodation at all three of our locations. If you don’t want to live near the campus where you’ll study, there are great transport links to keep you connected. So whether you want campus living or a city centre experience, you can choose what’s right for you.
